Philosophy
Exercise has been proven to have a tremendous impact on improving our health. Proper exercise will improve strength, energy levels and self esteem, impacting the overall quality of life.
Built on this foundation of beliefs, Focused Fitness opened in 1997. One aspect of our exercise program is built around Ken Hutchins' SuperSlow program, which is a high-intensity, low-force progressive resistance program. The results of the SuperSlow protocol include strength, endurance, increased cardiovascular efficiency, flexibility and improved body composition. In addition, it promotes exercise free of dangerous impact injuries that may occur in other exercise programs.
In addition to exercise, we provide an individualized nutrition program and opportunities to attend seminars conducted by registered dietitians, nutritionists and health educators on proper nutrition. We also offer yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, and therapeutic massage - all of which is designed to enhance the mind/body connection and reduce stress.
